Star Wars: Episode IV – New Hope and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

The first part of the epic Star Wars saga will be shown on the 12th of October 2018. Fans will watch New Hope on a huge screen while the music composed by Johan Williams will be played live by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets are available in the ERGO ARENA’s ticket office no. 2, on-line, via Eventim.pl as well as in EMPIK, Media Markt and Saturn stores all around Poland.

It’s been over 40 years since the Star Wars premiere. As a breakthrough in cinematography, the movie has become iconic. Characters, plot and the way of filming have changed the world of movies forever. One of the most significant things about Star Wars is the score written by John Williams. Fans in Poland will get a chance to watch the famous movie on a huge screen and listen to a beautiful concert under the baton of Christopher Eliot.

John Williams is a composer famous for all 9 of his Star Wars scores. For the “New Hope” music he received an Oscar in 1977.

John Williams won four Oscars, seven Academy Awards and twenty-two Grammy Awards. He was nominated for Oscars 50 times what makes him the most often nominated living man. Only Walt Disney was nominated more times. In 2005 his music for ”New Hope” was recognized by the American Film Institute as the best music of all time. Williams also wrote music for nine other films, which are among the twenty most profitable films in history.
