The number of fans who were interested in the last ”The World of Hans Zimmer” concert convinced the organizers to announce another show in Poland. This unique show, curated by Hans Zimmer himself, will take place on 20 November at ERGO ARENA (Gdańsk/Sopot).

Come and listen to some of the greatest scores of all time under the baton of Gavin Greenaway. Although Maestro does not attend these shows, there always perform his close friends and co-workers, including Lisa Gerrard, whose voice is well-known from Gladiator. 

The Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner is undoubtedly one of the most respected contemporary composers. His music is full of ultimate classics which are creating the newest history of cinema and adding emotions to the great movies, such as: The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Da Vinci Code, Dark Knight, Inception and Interstellar… In January, 2018 Hans Zimmer was was nominated for the Academy Award for the 11th time as he has written the breathtaking soundtrack for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkerque.

At the end of April 2018, the World Tour of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration began in Germany. The tour has been extended and so more concerts in Germany and other parts of Europe are coming up soon. Although Hans Zimmer does not tour this year, he is the musical director and curator of the entire project. Among stars who will perform during this tour are: an Australian vocalist/composer Lisa Gerrard (awarded together with Zimmer in 2001 for the Gladiator soundtrack), a Moldovan opera singer Valentina Naforniță, a singer/composer of Serbian origin Asja Kadrić as well as instrumentalists: Pedro Eustache, Rusanda Panfili, Marie Spaemann, Lucy Landymore, Eliane Correa, Aleksandra Šuklar, Juan Herrero, Luis Ribeiro and Amir John Haddad.

Unlike the famous Hans Zimmer Live Tour, which focused on Zimmer’s band and electronic sounds, The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration will present the composer’s work arranged by a live symphony orchestra. Hans Zimmer himself spent months transforming his soundtracks into rich concert suites. During the concert you will be able to hear brand new arrangements of soundtracks from The Lion King or Gladiator.

For the very first time, audience will be able to enjoy the music and watch stunning movie scenes. The composer himself is responsible for the selection of scenes which will be played during the concert.

Look forward to listening to the famous solists from the Hans Zimmer talent factory who had already taken part in the Live Tour before. The fluist Pedro Eustache will perform songs from the soundtrack to Pirates of the Caribbean. Every music piece will be accompanied by a great orchestra under the direction of Gavin Greenaway. Maestro Zimmer says that he trusts this director more than he trusts himself.

The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration proves that orchestral music is still alive while the project itself is a unique opportunity to present orchestral music to new generations.
