Owner of one of the most characteristic “dark” voices in the music industry who sold over 100 000 000 records all over the world. Finally, an Oscar, Golden Globe, 5 times Grammy and 10 times American Music Awards winner – Lionel Richie will perform in ERGO ARENA on the 21^st of July.

Tickets are already on sale. Concert is organised by Prestige MJM agency along with Polish radio station Złote Przeboje.

– Lionel Richie is a comprehensively fantastic artist – a great singer and composer. He has charisma, much needed to success. I’m a huge fan of his early music, The Commodores songs such “Brick House” or  “Machine Gun”. This music still delights. He used to look funny back then but he sounded so great he just had to start off with his solo career and prove that Comodorres were all about him – notices Roman Rogowiecki, a famous Polish music journalist.

The artist has recorded ten studio albums, the last one – “Tuskegee” had its premiere in 2012. For a long while now Richie has been considered one of the best-selling artists of all times. Polish audience in Gdańsk will have in July a great oportunity to sing along the greatest hits of Richie. On the 21^st of July in Gdańsk’s ERGO ARENA we can expects such songs as: ‘Hello’, ‘Easy’, ‘Dancing On The Ceiling,’ ‘Say You Say Me’, ‘Three Times a Lady’ and ‘All Night Long’.

This tour is a summary of a very successful period in artist’s career as Richie has performed this year on the Glastonbury stage and during the Grammy gala where he was rewarded by Recording Academy with the “2016 Musicares Person of the Year”. Although Richie gave about 500 concerts between 1983 and 2015, he only performed in Poland twice – during Sopot Festival in 1999 and in the Presidential Palace in 2010, over one of the charity concerts. The show in ERGO ARENA will most definitely be a dream to come true for thousands of Richie fans!

Yes – right in front of ERGO ARENA there is a widely available car park with place enough for about 700 cars and 15 buses. It costs 20 zł to park a car and 50 zł to park a bus on a concert day.
