The Gregorian choir was founded in the early 1990s. The original idea introduced by Frank Petersen was to combine medieval Gregorian chants with contemporary POP and ROCK music and it turned out to be a worldwide success! The very first album of the group – Masters of Chant, brought immense popularity and received the status of a gold record in 6 European countries + a platinum record in Portugal. This album has also reached the prestigious TOP 10 list in ten countries around the world. On the wave of success, the band released their second album a year later – Masters of Chant – Chapter II. It turned out that styling songs for liturgical chants impresses the audience worldwide. The album was released in 19 countries and repeated incredible success, was acknowledged as gold in eight European countries and platinum in Finland. Album reached the 6th place on TOP 10 best sellers list whereas the single Moment of Peace became a huge hit.

Just after the release of their first two albums, Frank Peterson, Carsten Heusmann, Jan-Eric Kohrs and Michael Soltau started recording the third album. Just like the previous records, the compositions were maintained in the style of medieval liturgical singing from the Roman Catholic Church. The songs have to meet many musical requirements but the Gregorian monks know how to handle it. In their repertoire we can find the whole cross-section of the musical world – from Sting to Duran Duran hits. Apart from the Masters of Chant series, the band’s achievements include heavier sounds on The Dark Side and Gregorian Christmas: Chants & Motets – an alternative to traditional Christmas.

At the beginning of 2022 Polish audience will get a chance to listen to these exceptional songs live! We will hear the greatest Gregorian hits and see some exceptional stage effects during concerts in Poland. GREGORIAN concerts are obligatory for every music lover. Come and experience LIVE!
